While attempting to repair a beer keg that exploded suddenly during a birthday celebration, a guy unknowingly murdered himself.
Gilson do Nascimento, 43, died after being struck in the head by metal shards while attempting to collect beer from the keg’s tap.
She said: “My uncle called them (the keg rental company) and they gave him instructions on how to start fixing it until they arrived.
“The beer wasn’t coming out, only foam.
“We are interrogating witnesses at the location at the time of the occurrence,” police spokeswoman Clovis Nei da Silva revealed in her words, adding that the case is currently being regarded as an accident.
“For now, the incident has been registered and an autopsy has been requested.”
Some news sources revealed that his wife, sister, and 15-year-old son were all present there as the celebration suddenly unfolds; turned tragic.
His family, according to his niece, is “very shaken” by his demise, which raged them only six years after he battled cancer.
When asked by local media about her grandson, his godmother, Angelina Maria de Oliveira, said: “As a soldier, a hard worker, and a loving husband and father, he was a true hero.
Gilson’s autopsy was performed the morning of September 18th, the day after his death, and he was buried the next day in Novo Hamburgo’s Jardim da Memoria Cemetery.
A keg was provided by the firm Chopp Express for the birthday party, according to the news portal G1.

The customer was advised not to touch the equipment by the company’s lawyer, Jose Adelmo de Oliveira since a technician was on his way.
According to the lawyer, the barrel had already exploded when the technician arrived, and the victim was dead on the spot.
The Association of Microbreweries’ president, Jose Luis Giovanella, said the brewery and delivery firm involved are being questioned to see if the equipment was defective.
