BigBrother naija season 5 winner, Laycon, a reality TV star and rapper, has reacted to President Muhammadu Buhari’s decision to reintroduce Twitter in Nigeria, seven months after the network was controversially suspended
Laycon responded to the Tweeter ban with a tweet on Thursday, pushing his fans to get their PVC.
He expressed himself as follows:
“I beg of you, Get your PVC”.
Another reality TV celebrity, Vee Iye, stated on Twitter that “it was a battle zone on Twitter throughout the ban.”
“This app was a war zone during the ban, God help us all now. Eyan le gba dragging at any gaadamn time”.
Alex, who is also a former BBNaija housemate, wrote that the Twitter restriction was lifted as a result of the upcoming elections.
”Good day.If many people haven’t stated it, “The Twitter ban was lifted because of elections”. You can choose to disagree. Be wise”.
Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and Frank Edoho did not also keep mute as both media figures, acknowledged the ban as well.
“In time for the election season,” Ebuka wrote
Frank tweeted: “The Federal Government should just say they have decided to come back to Twitter instead of claiming to lift the ban,”
“We’re committed to integrating diverse perspectives that make our service better for everyone.”
Also reacting to the suspension in a tweet on Thursday, popular comedian Mr Macaroni wrote: “Oh Oh… e don tire una? Welcome back ooo. You people banned yourselves not twitter. Na una go!! We never left”.
