Mercy Eke, a Big Brother Naija star and sequential businesswoman, has donated five million Naira to help several businesswomen.
At the charity’s most recent event, the reality TV star who made these gifts through her foundation awarded entrepreneurs with checks ranging from N200K to N300K.
Mercy said this is the first official initiative of her charity in a video posted on her Instagram page. Makeup artists, hairstylists, thrift merchants, fashion stylists, and others, according to her, benefited from the gift.
This comes after Mercy Eke, a well-known reality personality, was humiliated on a microblogging website when she attempted to pull a “Davido” on her admirers.
Recall that Davido set an aim of raising N120 million from celebrities and colleagues in less than 12 hours for his forthcoming 29th birthday.
Mercy Eke, like the billionaire’s son, went to the microblogging site to try her luck. She enlisted the aid of her admirers to help her gather cash.
“My people una no go surprise your girl???? Zenith bank. **********. Mercy Eke. We rise by lifting others,” she wrote.
Twitter users, on the other hand, were not amused by Mercy’s awkward move of dropping her account number and referred to her as a beggar for doing what Davido did.
