Former adviser to ex-President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Reno Omkri has blasted Nigerian Youth, accusing them of prioritising the wrong things in the aftermath of the Big Brother Naija finale.
By casting over a billion votes during the show, Omokri said that Nigerians had given greater value to something that should need less of their attention.
He bemoaned the fact that money raised from such a large number of votes will almost certainly be sent to South Africa, the home of DSTV and GOTV.
According to the former presidential assistant, Nigerians have never donated money to a deserving presidential candidate.
“1 billion votes! I can’t even begin to imagine how much money DSTV and the BBNaija organisers made,” he tweeted.
“Money that will be transferred to their home country, South Africa. Meanwhile, we Nigerians won’t donate money if a honest, capable Presidential aspirant needs it.”
