On Thursday, 23 September, a Police Superintendent (SP) was shot dead and two other officers are allegedly wounded during an attack on commercial motorcyclists in the Lagos region of Ajao Estate.
When the motorcyclists attacked them, the cops tried to impose motorbike drivers. The cops managed after the furious motorcyclists organised and fought them, to seize several of the bikes because they reportedly froze the state traffic law.
Motorbikers, mainly from Northern Nigeria, disarmed the SP and firearm his service to murder him near the Redeemed Christian God’s Church along the Asa Afariogun Road (RCCG).
Riots mountain bikers were reported to have prolonged their fight with the police to the station where two more cops were allegedly shot and a patrol car burned.
The command of the state police still has to comment.
