Banky Wellington, a singer cum politician from Nigeria, has won the Eti-Osa Federal constituency primaries.
Under the banner of the People Democratic Party, Banky ran for a seat in the National Assembly.
Banky W won by 28 votes over his opponent, who received only three votes, in a video illustrating how the votes were tabulated.
After winning the primaries, Banky will run for the House of Representatives in the 2018 election.
He wrote:
“If you have friends running for office, please pray for them and donate to their campaign. You have no idea how draining this process is.”
His colleague in the music industry, Samklef reacted to this, he wrote,
“Banky W ( Pdp candidate ) wants Nigerians to pray for politicians friends wey wan run for office say make una donate for him campaign say e no easy..How una see am?”
