EPL: I’m very happy to have you in my squad – Rangnick tells Man United star

Ralf Rangnick, the manager of Manchester United, has expressed his delight at having Jesse Lingard back in his team for Tuesday’s Premier League match against Burnley.
This was said by the German in response to any claims that he and the England international had a feud.

Rangnick also stated that if Mason Greenwood, who is being probed for alleged rape, had not been suspended, he would have gladly allowed Lingard leave the club for Everton or Newcastle.

Lingard requested time off to clear his headspace, according to the former RB Leipzig manager, but the player quickly refuted the claim before their FA Cup defeat to Middlesbrough last weekend.

Lingard later claimed he wanted to play and United told him he couldn’t, but United manager Jose Mourinho stated he and the 29-year-old don’t have any problems.

With regards to Jesse, I have a very good relationship with him, he knows I would have been willing to let him go at least until the issue with Mason [Greenwood] came up, he mentioned some personal issues.

“We have to look forward now, there are no problems whatsoever between myself and Jesse and vice versa. I’m very happy to have him in the squad and he’ll be in the squad for tomorrow night’s game,”
