Gov. Ortom Backs Buhari’s Order On Bandits Carrying AK- 47 Rifles

The Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, on Thursday, applauded the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd. ), after he ordered that, security agents should shoot anybody illegally carrying the lethall AK- 47 rifle.

The governor applauded him while accepting officials of the State Universal Basic Education in Makurdi.

Ortom explained that the order would lessen the rate of criminality, banditry and insurgents attacks on Benue communities, including other parts of the country.

” I wish to commend Mr President for his order against those bearing AK- 47 rifles. This I am sure will reduce the high rate of criminality, banditry and militia herdsmen attacks on our farming communities, ” the governor stated.

He also made a remark that Buhari had made  the right decisions by attending to the calls he and some other concerned Nigerians made on the need for the Federal Government to prompt action decisively, to save the country from deteriorating to a state of anarchy.
