Osinachi died of lung cancer, according to Peter Nwachukwu, the late gospel singer’s estranged spouse.
This was said by the suspect on Friday, June 3, shortly after he was arraigned in a Federal Capital Territory High Court on a 23-count accusation that amounted to culpable homicide.
The defendant, whose wife reportedly died as a result of his lengthy attack, pled not guilty to all of the claims contained in the complaint brought against him by the Federal Government.
Following Nwachukwu’s plea of innocence, Justice Njideka Nwosu-Iheme ordered his remand at the Kuje Correctional Centre in a brief ruling, while also adjourning the matter to June 16 and 17 for trial.
Remember that Osinachi died on April 8, 2022, after being on life support for a while.
Anselm Madubuko, Senior Pastor of the Revival Assembly Church Lagos, claimed religion murdered the Ekwueme crooner in response to the heinous incident that resulted to her death.
Since her death, there have been allegations that she perished as a result of her husband’s gender-based violence (GBV).
On Monday, April 11, Pastor Madubuko forecasted more divorces and separations among couples on his official Facebook page.
“Religion killed Osinachi”, he wrote. Adding, ” Eisssssh..Coming soon. Separations and Divorces…Brace up guys. So help us dear Lord!. As long as we believe that knowing Jesus alone is not enough for heaven, people will keep dying out of fear.”
