Linus Owuamanam, an Igbo businessman in Ibadan was annihilated in cold blood by unknown gunmen while driving in his car along Premier Hotel-Sango Road in Ibadan, Oyo State.
An Igbo businessman, Linus Owuamanam has been killed by unknown gunmen around 8pm on Saturday night along Premier Hotel-Sango Road in Ibadan, Oyo State.
His younger brother Jude Owuamanam, in an interview with SaharaReporters confirmed the incident said, “Yes, it is true. They have killed my brother. He was shot dead.”
Reports had it that Linus was in his newly acquired Toyota bus with his secretary when the attackers halted his vehicle and shot him.
SaharaReporters learnt that when the gunmen discovered that he was still alive, they used a knife to stab him in the chest to make sure his heart stopped beating.
The whereabouts of the lady in his vehicle were still unknown as of the time of filing this report, as his driver and other workers stormed the spot of the incident but couldn’t find the lady.
SaharaReporters also gathered that the driver of the late businessman met him in a pool of blood and took him to nearby Hope hospital but the hospital refused to commence treatment unless they saw a police report.
However, he was later taken to Adeoyo hospital where he died.
Investigative Journalist Dr Kemi Olunloyo also disclosed on her Facebook page that she discovered the victim had a relationship with Ahmed Gulak the political official killed the next day in Imo state.
