Indian Conjoined Twins Abandoned By Their Parents Land Their First Job

According to the Independent UK, 19-year-old conjoined twins from India’s Punjab state have landed their first job with the state government after being abandoned by their parents.

The fact that Sohna and Mohna Singh from Amritsar city will be paid made the news even better, according to the magazine.

The twins will work for the state’s power board as electricians, which they described as a “dream job.”

The twins were abandoned as babies and were being cared for at a shelter for children from low-income households.

The Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has given them a job, with a monthly salary of around Rs 10,000 (£100).

The twins have an electronics diploma and will work in the supply control room, where they will be responsible for electrical appliances.

“We are thankful to the Punjab government for recognising our talent,” the twins said.
