The defending world champions are gearing up for their final two qualifiers in order to secure a spot in Qatar 2022.

And, despite being one step away from qualification, Les Bleus will be lacking a talismanic presence during the recent international break.

Pogba was unable to finish Monday’s training after joining up with the rest of his France teammates, according to Goal.

During practice with goalie Alphonse Areola, the United star staggered towards the sidelines, clearly in pain.
Didier Deschamps, who assisted Pogba off the pitch, has been forced to change his plans and has brought up Roma midfielder Jordan Veretout as a backup.
Pogba’s injury comes at a time when his United performances have been questioned more than ever.

He was suspended for their most recent match, a 2-0 derby loss to arch-rivals Manchester City, after receiving a red card during the club’s 5-0 humiliation against Liverpool.

At the very least, the midfielder has found international football more satisfying, having been in both the semi-final and final stages of France’s UEFA Nations League triumph earlier this year.
