Manchester United Make World Cup Winner Highest-paid Player in Premier League History

  • To encourage Paul Pogba to stay at Manchester United, the club’s board has offered him a mouth-watering £500,000 per week.
  • The new contract is worth significantly more than Cristiano Ronaldo, the club’s current best earner

Cristiano Ronaldo became Manchester United’s biggest weekly earning after moving from Juventus to the club last summer, with a weekly salary of almost £400,000.

Manchester United is determined to keep Pogba at the club and wants to make him the highest-paid player at Old Trafford.

After rejecting talks about extending his contract, the midfielder is currently in the final six months of his current deal with Manchester United.

The World Cup winner is now free to talk to other teams about a pre-contract arrangement ahead of a free transfer.

Pogba was anticipated to leave Manchester United last summer, but he did not receive the interest he expected from other clubs.

According to The Sun in the United Kingdom, the Old Trafford owners are willing to pay the French midfielder a considerably higher wage than any other club.

The three major European clubs looking to recruit the France international next summer are Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, and Juventus.

If the Frenchman accepts the offers, he will become the highest-paid player in the league.
