Newcastle United transfer rumours: January transfer window targets


Eddie Howe is interested in three Manchester United players in January: Donny Van de Beek, Dean Henderson, and Jesse Lingard (Daily Mirror, November 12).

Howe wants to make Aaron Ramsey one of his first signings, but he’ll have to compete with Everton for the Juventus midfielder, who earns £400,000 a week (The Sun via Goal, November 10).

Newcastle is up against it to acquire Arsenal attacker Alexandre Lacazette on a free transfer, with defending LaLiga winners Atletico Madrid eager (The Sun, November 9).

Newcastle is allegedly attempting to sabotage Marseille’s pursuit of Arsenal player Matteo Guendouzi (Daily Mirror, November 5).

According to sources (The Sun, November 5), Newcastle has made Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen its top transfer target.

Newcastle aims to follow RB Leipzig’s lead and focus on young players, with Salzburg’s Karim Adeyemi a £17 million target (Sport, November 1).
Tottenham Hotspur might let Dele Alli depart in January, and Newcastle United is expected to be interested in the England midfielder (The Sun, October 30).
Newcastle’s new owners are considering Watford striker Ismaila Sarr as a possible January acquisition, but the Hornets are adamant about keeping their best player. (The Daily Mail, 29 October).

According to Skysports, Amanda Staveley is likely to grant incoming Newcastle manager Eddie Howe a £200 million transfer budget to spend over the next three years while remaining compliant with Financial Fair Play standards (Daily Mail, November 13).
