India is currently wrestling with the deadlier and more virulent second wave of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) as the number of new cases increases at a high rate.
According to an online report on Monday, India registered 368, 147 Covid-19 cases which make the total infection tally close to 20-million. Although there have been some other reports that indicate a strong decrease from the nearly four lakh new cases recorded a day ago.
The new variant has pushed some nations of the world to bar Indians and travellers from the country on arrival from entering into the country.
In Nigeria, authorities announced that travellers from Brazil, India, and Turkey will be restricted from entering the country as a result of the increase in the number of COVID-19 cases emerging in these countries, to be effected 4th of May.
Also in recent news from the Reuters Taiwan will suspend migrants who have visited India over the previous 14 days as from Tuesday.
The Business Insider also confirmed that India is now on the UK’s “red list” to avoid the spread of a new COVID-19 variant identified there.
