On Thursday, April 14, US President Joe Biden appeared bewildered and disoriented when he spun around and extended his hand as if to shake hands, but there was no one else on stage.

Prior to the error, the 79-year-old president claimed to have been a “full professor” at the University of Pennsylvania despite never having taught a class there.

Biden signs off his address in Greensboro, North Carolina, with the signoff ‘God bless you everyone,’ before turning to his right and saying something to the empty space behind him before shaking the air with his hand.

He then walks around the crowded auditorium, frantically turning back with a befuddled expression on his face.

This comes only a week after Biden appeared lost during former President Barack Obama’s first visit to the White House since leaving office.

The event was captured on video and broadcast on social media, provoking criticism of the White House over Biden’s apparent cognitive impairment.
