Khafi Kareem, a BBnaija star, has responded to a claim that she is facing a misconduct investigation by the UK’s Met Police following her appearance on the show.
It was previously reported in 2019 that the police officer is being investigated for starring on the reality show without her employer’s consent.
Despite being granted unpaid vacation, Khafi was denied the opportunity to participate in the reality show. Nonetheless, she went.
A representative for the Met told UK Sun at the time that the police is aware that the officer appeared on the show without authorisation and that an investigation has been launched.
Khafi was also being probed for having sex with another housemate turned spouse Ekpata Gedoni while on the show, according to him.
Any officer found to have broken police standards of professional behavior might face disciplinary procedures, according to the UK Police Force.
Khafi Kareem’s presence on the show has now been discovered to be the subject of a misconduct investigation by the UK’s Met Police.
She appeared before a panel on Monday, according to the BBC, when she confessed that she took and gave her laptop to the organizers of the BBnaija TV show.
Khafi disputed claims of breaking standards in the areas of “orders and instructions” and “discreditable behaviour,” as well as failing to register a business interest in the show’s publicity and promotion, during the hearing.
Speaking about her current predicament via Instagram yesterday, Khafi stated that what doesn’t kill her makes her stronger.
She wrote; “What doesn’t kill you makes you…. ? (Finish the sentence!) Happy New Month Beautiful People 🥰🏆”
