Ronaldo contacts European giants for potential transfer as he is unhappy at Manchester United

Manchester United ace and top Goal Scorer Cristiano Ronaldo has proposed a move to ex-rival Barcelona giving them a chance to sign him

Cristiano Ronaldo has offered Barcelona the option to sign him in the upcoming transfer windows, according to Mundo Deportivo (h/t The Sun).

In 2018, the Real Madrid icon moved to Juventus before returning to Manchester United this summer. Despite having played for the Red Devils, he is unconvinced by Ralf Rangnick’s techniques and is planning to leave the team early. The 36-year-old sensation is rumored to be interested in joining Barcelona, his former club.

Gerrard Pique is a good friend of the Portuguese international. He has requested that the central defender speak with Xavi about a possible transfer, with Jorge Mendes already in talks with the Catalan club.

The super-agent has a solid working relationship with club president Joan Laporta, and the two might potentially discuss the possibility of a transfer for perhaps Mendes’ most important client. Ronaldo is well aware that the Nou Camp side is in desperate need of a new goal striker. He’s also suspected of contacting Xavi a few days ago after being introduced by Pique.
The Spanish manager has also accepted that the veteran can contribute ‘goals and experience,’ but has instructed his defence to question the Man United player about his preferred position in the team.

Is the proposed move possible?

For the Spanish club, it appears to be something out of a fairy tale. They’re in the midst of a financial crisis and are struggling in both the league and Europe, and then out of nowhere, a Real Madrid icon offers them the chance to sign him. As a result, this information should be taken with a grain of salt.

Ronaldo has always been a winner no matter where he goes and is always up for a challenge. Things may be a little hard at Old Trafford right now, but it is far from the worst. Furthermore, the Red Devils are still in the Champions League, which Barcelona can no longer claim.

It’s also debatable whether the La Liga team has the financial means to sign the Portuguese superstar. They needed a bank loan to sign Ferran Torres from Man City, and if they didn’t, there would be doubts about their ability to get one of the best players in the world.
