On Sunday night, top Nigerian musician Adekunle Gold made a surprise appearance on Nigerian Idol to present his wife, Simi, with a birthday cake.
Simi is a judge on a music reality show, and her husband decided to put on a romantic spectacle for her.
IK, the program’s host, said in a viral video that a Simi superfan wanted to attend and show her love, so he brought in the man who turned out to be her husband.
Simi was moved to tears after he returned from backstage with a birthday cake, and her spectacular response was captured on film.
Adekunle Gold presented the cake to her and said; “I am your biggest fan. I am proud of you, well done, Deja and I am rooting for you and we love you, I love you”
