The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested former Minister Fani-Kayode and taken him into custody.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested former Minister Fani-Kayode and taken him into custody.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has detained Femi Fani-Kayode, the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Minister of Aviation (EFCC).

According to the Daily Trust, Fani-Kayode was arrested at a Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, and taken to an EFCC office nearby.

The former minister was going out of court after his forgery trial was postponed until January 24, 2022, when he was accosted by an EFCC investigator.

A week after his initial arrest, he was arrested and taken into custody.

Mr Shehu Shuaibu, an EFCC investigator, confirmed the ex-arrest, minister’s adding he was being questioned over fake paperwork.
