Viral photos of Human Right activist, Omoyele Sowore and a man who dressed like a native doctor has gathered reactions online after the duo were seen approaching the courtroom
However, Omoyele Sowore disclosed to BBC Pidgin that the man is not a herbalist as many people thought but an African man expressing is culture and beliefs.
Although the man who was fully dressed in a fetish Regalia-like outfit was seen making silent enchantments during the court briefings.
The Human Rights Activist explained that the reason is to discourage people that normally look down on African traditions, cultural beliefs and fashions and to discourage the belief that European cultures are better than African cultures.
He says the simple message he tries to pass across with what happened in court today is “Pan Africanist,” to break the stereotype that African traditions, cultural beliefs and fashion is inferior to the white man’s own.

Sowore added that the man appeared in court to show his solidarity, the same way Christians and Muslims followed him to the courtroom to support the movement.
