Why You Should Purchase The New Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 Core

Microsoft has released a white version of the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller that is less expensive and more customizable.

The Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 Core is cheaper at $130 than the black version ($180), but it lacks the casing and all the interchangeable paddles, thumbsticks, and D-pads.

But if you purchase the Component Pack for an additional $60 (see what they did there? ), you can instantly convert it into the non-Core version.

Preorders for the Core controller may be made starting today through their official website, however the device won’t be available until September 21. Since the Design Lab doesn’t appear to be ready to choose the Elite models yet, you’ll probably have to wait if you want to buy one of it or its brother in a Design Lab version.
